From the moment the female-fronted band Shiverburn started to get up on stage in late 2013, sparks have been flying around.
The combination of catchy, passionate vocals and flaming guitar riffs has heated up many venues instantly. Inspired by the American rock sound of bands like Halestorm, Alter Bridge and Paramore and with a combination of catchy, passionate vocals and flaming guitar riffs, have energized many a crowd in their short existence.
Where things started with an EP in 2014, thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign in early 2015, Shiverburn have found the means and support to record their debut album, which is scheduled to be releases in early 2016. The favorable reviews of the EP, already show the success of their aforementioned EP 'One Step Closer'. Many reviewers spoke of "a real gem".
Two members of Shiverburn started their journey at Fontys Rockacademy (NL), but chose to quit early to focus fully and only on making music with Shiverburn. This is a good example of how dedicated each and every member is. “Everything happens for a reason” is the core in many of Shiverburn’s lyrics. Looking forward, leaving bad events in life behind and making good things happen are what define Shiverburn.
A Shiverburn live show is a fantastic experience and something one won't forget. "What an energy, what an enthusiasm, the band knows how to deliver. The band forms a tight dynamic collective, keeping ones attention throughout. Vocalist Sanne Heuyerjans shows she has the skills and looks that a front-woman needs, spicy and heavy vocals with a powerful, high and sometimes raw voice. It gives Shiverburn something unique and special."
In October Shiverburn will embark on a European tour supporting Soen, a progressive metal supergroup consisting of various high-profile metal musicians. Also joining will be Lizzard from France, who already made a huge impression when touring with Soen earlier this year.
